Use Boiling Water – Hot water can also be used to remove wax. Put the candle on a surface protected with a towel or newspaper. Use a butter knife or spoon to remove as much wax as you can. Pour boiling water into the container, leaving room at the top. (If your candle is made of a soft wax, such as soy wax, you can use hot water that’s not boiling.) The boiling water will melt the wax and it will float to the top. Let the water cool and remove the wax. Strain the water to get rid of any small wax bits. (Don’t pour wax down the drain.) Scrape any remaining wax and clean with soap and water.

Our ingredients and material are vegan friendly, biodegradable and recyclable. No animal products are used and no animal testing has been carried out in our manufacturing. We only use therapeutic grade pure essential oils, and the blends are tailored specifically to help lift your mood through vaporisation. So what does this mean for you? It means your candles have a ‘clean burn’ ensuring there is no soot emitted from burning, which also means that there are no tiny harmful particles released into the air whilst you burn it, which can have an adverse effect on the respiratory system among other things. Fragrance oils are common in candles, bu they are synthetic in nature and although they may smell very nice, they do not have any therapeutic benefits and can have adverse effects on your wellness journey, which is why we avoid them altogether. Our diffusers and room mists are also made with vegan friendly, cruelty free and toxin free ingredients.
Tip 1: Upcycle!
Candle jars can be upcycled and reused for a number of things around the house.
Our Kingdom candle containers make great plant pots, whilst our Grande and Classic candle jars make great pen holders, brush holders and the like. You can even use the box it came in instead of throwing them away.

Tip 2: Re-use
In our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we have a recycling scheme that allows our customers to return 4 candle containers of the same size, in good condition in exchange for a candle of their choice (in the same size). The same applies to diffusers and room mists, as long as the tops are also in tact and in good condition. Please contact us for more info if you wish to take part.
There is no limit on how many time you can use the scheme.
Tip 3: Make sure you are using your products correctly!
It’s amazing how many people don’t get the full benefits of their products due to incorrect use. Have a look at our candle care page for tips on how to make your candle last as many hours as possible. Our nomad sized candle packs are good for travellers, and those who have small rooms to fill. Classic candles are good for normal sized rooms and Grande and Kingdom candles are better suited to large spaces and rooms with high ceilings.
Our diffuser fibre reed sticks are made to give long lasting scent for approximately 8-10 weeks or longer. The reeds don’t always need to be flipped, but as some essential oils are thicker than others, it may be necessary in order to guarantee an ongoing scent. Our diffusers also come with a screw top which is handy if you’d like to travel with this also.
Our Room Mists are at their most potent when you shake the bottle first. A little goes a long way, but as this is an ‘active diffuser’ you need to make sure you are careful around pets. Essential oils should never be applied topically to pets or ingested unless otherwise specified.
